Materials provided. Please bring lunch and snacks or money to buy lunch and snacks during our 2 breaks.

CAMP DETAILS

If you've never used a sewing machine, then this is the camp for you!  This is a prerequisite for all other camps on the sewing machine.

In the morning, you will learn to:

• thread the machine

• wind a bobbin

• make a rolled hem on your baby blanket while you get used to a 5/8" seam allowance

• learn to pin correctly and sew in the round on pillowcases

• make a casing for your drawstring bag (this is the same way you make an elastic waist)

These skills lay a strong foundation for you to build on with future sewing projects. Come away with a flannel baby blanket, a pillowcase, and a drawstring bag in your choice of fabrics from our awesome collection. Campers can free sew and make additional projects once these are completed.
