2024 SUMMER CAMPS

We have lots of fun new camps planned for sewing, drawing, knitting, crochet, and embroidery!

Even those campers that come every summer will find something new this year.

We provide all materials so all you need to send is your child a snack for half-day camps and snacks & lunch for full-day camps. Kids also have the option of buying lunch and snacks here in the center from Bagel Guys or Starbucks if you’d like to provide them with money or a gift card. They will be supervised by staff at all times while purchasing food and eating in the studio.

All day campers who finish lunch early are free to draw, look through the fashion library or drape on the mini mannequins.

Summer camps will fill up quickly

so sign up early to assure your spot!

HOW TO PREPARE FOR CAMP

We like to make coming to camp as easy as possible therefore there is very little you need to do to prepare.

All materials for projects are provided so you don't have to go to the fabric store wandering around hoping you bought the right thing! I have a great selection of adorable fabrics that campers will be able to choose from, as well as thread and any trim needed for the projects.

Make sure you have completed the prerequisites for the camp you are signed up for. Intro to Machine Sewing for sewing on the machine and Intro to Hand Sewing for hand sewing camps.

Brand new to sewing? Start with an Intro to Machine Sewing camp! We also offer them throughout the year, so you can complete it before summer if you like. That way you can take any camp we offer!

If it has been more than 6 months since you last sewed, please contact us for a refresher course before signing up for an intermediate or harder level camp.

Please don't sign up for classes requiring sewing experience if you don't have any, or if it has been more than 6 months since you’ve last sewed. We’re here to help refresh your memory, but it will be frustrating and dangerous if you do not have the foundational required skills. We have sessions of Intro to Sewing and Intro to Hand Sewing throughout the spring and summer, so there is plenty of opportunity to take them before your clothing camps.

For our half day camps, please remember to pack a snack for break time.

Full day campers should bring a lunch and snacks for both break times.

We have a water cooler that campers can use freely, and a microwave and mini fridge upon request.

For those who prefer to purchase lunch, please send money and verbal permission for Starbucks or Bagel Guys. They are both a few doors down in the same plaza so no streets to cross. Don't worry, they're supervised at all times!

Due to issues regarding excessive sugar and caffeine intake, Camp Fashionista will be requiring explicit parental permission for Starbucks snacks and drinks, and implementing a one-drink-per-day policy for all campers.

FAQ's

What is a full-day discount?

Sign up for morning & afternoon camp the same week and you’ll automatically get the discount when you register.

We won't be able to attend a full week of camp, is that OK?

It's ok, but not something we recommend. Missing a day means missing important time and instruction you need to finish your project. Sorry but we can't prorate the cost of your camp week, and your camper may not be able to complete that week’s projects.

Can I transfer my camp session to a different week?

Sure, just give us a call and, space permitting, you can change your camp week, up to seven days before the start of your camp week. This does not apply to circumstances where we have already cut your custom fabric pieces for clothing projects.

Can I cancel my enrollment and get a refund or credit?

Please see our Camp Cancellation Policy for information regarding refunds and credits.

My child has no sewing experience, what camp should they join?

If they are 8 years or older, start with an Intro to Machine Sewing camp! We also offer the intro course throughout the year, so you can complete it before summer.

All intermediate-level machine sewing camps require prior completion of Intro to Machine Sewing or its equivalent.

Hand Sewing is for ages 6 and up.

Fashion Illustration is for ages 7 and up.

Machine Sewing, Crochet, Embroidery, and Knitting is for ages 8 and up.

If campers finish their projects early, don’t worry about them being bored. They can choose from extra free sew projects, draw, look through the fashion library or drape their designs on our mini mannequins. There’s always something new to create!

Not sure which camp is right for your child? Have a special request? Other questions?

Just give me a call or send me an email, I'm happy to help:
