2019 SUMMER CAMPS
Summer camps fill up quickly,
so sign up early to assure your spot!
Please don't sign up for classes requiring sewing experience if you don't have any. It's dangerous & will be frustrating. You must be able to thread the machine, wind the bobbin and sew safely and independently to have a good experience. Of course we are here to refresh your memory and assist you, but you must be comfortable on the sewing machine already.
If you're not ready, start with LEVEL 1W in a weekend class series , or
the first 2 weeks of camp in June .
Level 1K is beginning sewing with knit fabrics. This will prepare your camper to sew projects using stretchy knit fabrics. If the camp you want uses knits, please complete LEVEL 1K in a weekend class series or
the first 2 weeks of camp in June.

WHAT TO BRING TO CAMP
For our half day Summer camps , please remember to pack a snack for break time.
Full day campers should bring lunch and snacks for both break times.
I have water, and microwave the girls can use.
For those who prefer to purchase lunch, please send money and verbal permission for Starbucks or Bagel Guys.
They are both a few doors down in the same plaza so no streets to cross.
Don't worry, they're supervised at all times!
If your child has allergies, make sure we understand the procedure for any medications you send.
Each weeks camp that makes clothing ends with a FASHION SHOW FRIDAY to strut your stuff to music down the catwalk, and share your creations with each other! This year is different than years past when parents & friends were invited, for two reasons.
Many of the girls were too shy to join in the fun, so this year I’m going to have just the girls present at the fashion show in the hope that they will feel more comfortable participating .
The second reason is that many parents are working and as much as they would like to, can’t join us. That makes some of the girls feel badly, and we don’t want anyone to feel left out. They’re supposed to be having fun! Let’s see how it works this year.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR CAMP
We like to make coming to camp as easy as possible therefore there is very little you need to do to prepare.
All materials for projects are provided so you don't have to go to the fabric store wandering around hoping you bought the right thing! I have a great selection of adorable fabrics to choose from.
Make sure you have completed the pre-requisites for the camp you are signed up for. Level 1W for woven fabric projects and Level 1K for knit fabric projects.
Shorts and tank top camp requires both of these pre-requisites.
These are offered every month on the weekends, over Ski Week, and Spring break.
If that doesn't work for your schedule you can take them in June as a 1/2 day or full day camp.
If you want to complete both woven and knits you can do the full day camp in June and be set to create whatever you want all summer!
What is a full-day discount?
Sign up for morning & afternoon camp the same week and save yourself $25.
We won't be able to attend a full week of camp, is that OK?
It's Ok, but not something we recommend. Missing a day means missing important time you need to finish your project. Sorry but we can't prorate the cost of your camp week, and your camper may not be able to complete that week’s projects.
Can I transfer my camp session to a different week?
Sure, just give us a call and, space permitting, you can change your camp week, up to seven days before the start of your camp week.
Can I cancel my enrollment and get a refund or credit?
No problem, things change a lot during summer. All you have to do is give us a call. Here's our policy:
January - May 1: Receive a refund minus a $25 processing fee.
May 2 - June 1: Receive a refund minus a cancellation fee of $95 per session.
After June 1: No refunds, but space permitting you can change your camp week, up to seven days before the start of your camp week.
A few other things to note:
Policy applies to all camp cancellations.
All refunds will be credited via original payment method
Camp fees are not refunded or prorated for days of camp missed due to illness or injury
Camp fees from unused sessions cannot be applied to future purchases
All sewing camps require prior completion of Level 1 sewing or it's equivalent except:
Hand Sewing is for age 6 and up.
Machine Sewing Camps are for ages 8 and up.
Sometimes 7 year olds are ready to sew on the machine, so ask me to assess your child.
Fashion Illustration is for age 7 and up.
We maintain a very low camper to staff ratio of 5:1 so your camper is sure to get all the help they need. We do everything we can to maintain a safe nurturing environment that results in Happy Campers!
