Ages: Adult

Level: Intermediate

Prerequisite: Intro to Machine Sewing and/or Adult Sew, and Adult Sew 2 (or equivalent experience)

Some materials included. We’ll provide the pattern, notions, and basic sewing supplies.

Fabric: Bring your own, or use ours. As before, we highly recommend using this opportunity to pick out your own fabric! We have a limited supply of mostly cottons, a couple rayons and some knits if you choose to use our fabric. You can take a look at our recommended fabric stores here. Please refer to the size chart and fabric requirement information in one of the images above. Suggested fabrics: lightweight woven such as rayon, linen, rayon denim blends; or stretch wovens such as stretch twill, stretch denim, jegging, and stable knits such as french terry, cotton jersey, interlock, etc.

CLASS DETAILS

Come sew a stylish and comfortable pair of paperbag-waist pants you’ll love to wear! In this class, you’ll practice working with a sewing pattern, creating a casing for an elastic waistband, and hemming pant cuffs for a polished finish. You’ll also have the option to add fun details like patch pockets, belt loops, and a matching belt.

The elastic waist keeps these pants incredibly comfortable, while the ruffled paperbag waist adds a fashionable touch. Versatile enough for year-round wear, they’re perfect for dressing up or keeping it casual.
