This is part 2 of the series.

A great starting place for those new to sewing, or who have forgotten what they once learned.

Working with woven fabrics you'll create 3 projects that give you the skills to participate in higher level classes.

  • Sewing vocabulary and concepts 
  • Machine features and how to use them
  • Threading/ unthreading the machine
  • Winding a bobbin
  • Sewing straight seams  
  • Pinning fabric for sewing
  • Machine hemming
  • Sewing around corners
  • Mitered corners
  • Making a casing
  • Inserting a drawstring

What You'll Make:

A baby blanket, a pillowcase and a drawstring bag.

 

Everyone has their own sewing machine, a 3-hole punched set of instructions to take home , practice sheets, muslin and all fabrics, thread and notions for all projects.
