CAMP DETAILS

If you've never used a sewing machine, then this is the camp for you!  This is a pre-requisite for all other camps on the sewing machine.

In the morning, you will learn to:

• thread the machine

• wind a bobbin

• make a rolled hem on your baby blanket while you get used to a 5/8" seam allowance

• learn to pin correctly and sew in the round on pillowcases

• make a casing for your drawstring bag (this is the same way you make an elastic waist)

These skills lay a strong foundation for you to build on with future sewing projects. Come away with a flannel baby blanket, a pillowcase, and a drawstring bag in your choice of fabrics from our awesome collection. Campers can free sew and make additional projects once these are completed.

In the afternoon, you’ll sew these adorable all new foodie friends—an ice cream bar. pop tart, a glass of pink lemonade, and a chocolate bar!

You’ll learn the running stitch, whip stitch, and blanket stitch as you make these cute food friends for yourself and to share with friends.

Use them as small pillows and pincushions, or just because they're adorable!

In the afternoon, you’ll sew adorable all-new foodie friends—a taro boba tea, pineapple, onigiri (rice ball), and cinnamon roll!

Practice the running stitch, whip stitch, and blanket stitch as you make these cute foods with faces for yourself and to share with friends.

Use them as small pillows and pincushions, or just because they're adorable! If you have time, make even more foods of your choice.

This is going to be so much fun!
