If you already know how to sew with stretchy fabrics, come make yourself a cute new velvet Skater Dress for the holidays.

If not, please start with the Stretchy Sewing series.

These luxurious velvet and velvet burnout fabrics are so special, we only bring them out once a year! They’re perfect for making outfits that look fancy, but are oh-so-soft and comfortable.

You’ll practice how to use a pattern, make a hem, and learn how to set in sleeves with stretch stitches.

Choose between making a long or short sleeve top, or make it extra fun with optional burnout sleeves. Next we’ll add a swirling circle skirt to complete the dress, or you can customize it even further with a handkerchief hem!
